Bands For Hire

Tuesday, April 12th, 2011

Years ago there were not very many bands to choose from when it came to hiring a band for your event. Most events ended with low-talent, cheesy bands that left the organizer embarrassed that they had hired the band. Many high-quality bands are available these days and the term, “Bands For Hire“, has lost it’s bad name and bands are realizing that this is not only an excellent way to propel their careers in the music industry but also a great way to make money!

Choosing a band for your event doesn’t have to be frustrating. The best way to begin is to start asking around to friends, family, and co-workers. They may have seen bands or heard of them. Local clubs can be a great place to find talent. No matter where you find your band, it is important that you have them thoroughly audition with at least a few songs so that you can get a true feel of both their music style and talent.

Once your choice is made make sure that the contract is clear and that all parties know what to expect as this will be a business contract and should be carried out professionally. By taking these steps, there are no surprises and the event will run much more smoothly and be more enjoyable for your guests.

Luton Hoo Hotel and Spa

Wednesday, June 9th, 2010

If you are wanting to stay at a five star luxury hotel, then you must stay awhile at the Luton Hoo.  This hotel sits on one-thousand acres of garden and parkland that was created by Capability Brown, the famous landscape designer. The River Lea snakes its way through the grounds as it creates two lakes.  On this parkland you will marvel at several sweet chestnut trees that are said to be over three-hundred years old.

The Luton Hoo is a short ten minute drive from the Luton Airport.  If you arrive at the Bedford Airport then you can easily catch a rental car from a car hire in Bedfordshire.  If you arrive at Heathrow, then the countryside drive will take just forty minutes. Even if you come in by train, that like is close also.

At the Luton Hoo you will enjoy tranquility as well as accessibility to popular destinations. You can also say for a leisure break or attend a business function. The mansion offers a host of delights for everyone as you dine in the original state dining room and later stroll the terraced gardens. Nearby in the town of St Albans you can find the historic cathedral as well as the Roman Verulaminum museum.

Features of Public Expenditure

Monday, September 28th, 2009

Budgets_And_Accounts_MoneyPublic expenditure refers to the amount of money spent or used by a government to be able to finance its activities.  Annually the national, state, and local governments formulate a budget to determine how much money they are going to spend, and to what items these public funds are to be allocated into, during the coming fiscal year.  The budget is the documented declaration of the government’s decision on expenditure, and determines which public goods to produce, which market externalities to address, and how much will be provided for income distribution.

Public expenditure is always controversial, because of the existence of various sectors or social groups which demand different things.  More often than not, public expenditure is a translation of the current or future impetus of a government, especially when bulk of the government’s spending patterns and willingness to spend – as shown in the national budget – become highlights of political analysis.  Before a budget is drafted for initial reading, lobbyists of various kinds of demands put continuous pressure, and the same is true during the rest of the budget enactment process; these demands exhibit conflicting interests most of the time, adding to the difficulty of budget formulation.  After the budget is passed as a law, a great deal of efforts and time are then being spent to analyze and determine whether the public funds meant for every kind of expenditure is actually and efficiently used for such expenditure item.

Public expenditure also forms a major issue in public office accountability.  The use of public funds for things they are not meant for – usually personal interests of the public official directly in charge – is punishable by law, in grave terms, in all countries worldwide.
